Creepy, Creepy, Creepy

THERE is no explicit endorsement Barack Obama, but you know who these kids' parents are voting for. Poor little buggers.

In the old days, while nippers in some jurisdictions were just as brainwashed, at least they could sing.

By the way, it is worth clicking through to YouTube on that first video to read the lyrics and poster's observation that Obama simply has to be re-elected or life as we know it will end. Hand the man a nice, sharp razor blade. He's going to be slashing his wrists in the very near future.

  1. Apparently the New York Times has come out with an open endorsement of Obama! No shit, Sherlock! And here was me thinking they might have reluctantly endorsed Romney after months of balanced coverage and much agonising.

  2. The German lot at least appeared to be of sound and robust health, guess they will live longer to enjoy the world that belongs to them, the whinging Yank lot mostly appeared to have poor diets, resulting in a shorter life span, only themselves to blame.

  3. Polar bears! Great get. Tim Blair will be jealous.

Looks like Team Obummer are chasing the Asian vote.

  4. I can't wait for the kids to recite "We make Wind Turbines here in China!". If they can manage that without grimacing, then the brainwashing will be complete. Zombiedoom awaits.

  6. I do a lot of business in the USofA and have a lot of friends in what the classless society would term as middle class and working class. Talking to them about Nobama one gets the feeling that they and the scribblers in the various US equivalents of the Age et al are living in different countries. One of the "working class" women flawed me when she said, "We voted for him because he was black, we are firing him because he is a failure". Don't know if the line is original but it is a good one.

  7. Sometimes, something as trivial, inconsequential and primordially stupid as this "song" has a disproportionate effect on my blood pressure, bringing closer the moment when this mortal coil shuffles me off, and I no longer have to endure the one-eyed banality and hope-crushing cretinism of the human race. Myself and Prof Bunyip excepted, of course. And you, of course, dear reader

Using kids for political purposes is just so wrong, Prof. But not unusual. It is what the Greens and the lefties are doing right throughout our school system at present: brainwashing. Perhaps not quite so overt as above, but still there.

    1. It's plenty overt. Some of the stories I heard from the timber workers in Tasmania and what the kids were bringing home from school. " we all know how nasty Daddy is to destroy the planet don't we children."

As for the second clip - is there a more powerful few minutes in cinematic history?

    2. And how bloody right he was. Six million of my co-religionists, a whole lot of my father's generation of Australians who took up arms against the idea expressed in that clip of the young German and millions of others found out it wasn't a bright "tomorrow". Fortunately my father and four of his brothers survived their military service in Africa and the Pacific. L'chaim.

To paraphrase Will Smith, the difference between Obama and Biden is that the former makes the straitjacket look good.

  13. According to various news sources, the founders of advertising agency Goodby, Silverstein and Partners produced this video.

I want to draw your attention to two things:

    1. The line "And lots of Chinese stuff". This is a criticism of their parents for buying lots of things made in China. Isn't that ghastly?

    2. The Goodby, Silverstein and Partner website includes a list of clients. Among them is Tsing Tao (the Chinese brewery). I'll be drawing this video to the attention of senior managers in China.

Besides Tsing Tao, other GSP clients not making lots of stuff in China include:

    Chevrolet
    Cisco
    Frito-Lay (owned by PepsiCo)
    Haagen-Dazs
    Nintendo

The smell of hypocrisy is strong in this one.

  14. Admittedly the Future Children Project is creepy, but "Tomorrow Belongs to Me"? The supposedly sinister tosh served up in Cabaret is as remote from genuine Nazi songs as the Future Children Project is from genuine children.

    Compare the real thing:

Wenn der Sturmsoldat ins Feuer geht,
    dann hat er frohen Mut.
    Wenn's Judenblut vom Messer spritzt,
    dann geht's nochmal so gut,
schmeißt sie raus, die ganze Judenbande,
schmeißt sie raus aus unserem Vaterlande,
    schickt sie wieder nach Jerusalem
und schneidet ihnen die Hälse ab,
    sonst kommen sie wieder hem!

When the stormtrooper is under fire,
    His courage is joyous.
When Jewish blood spurts from the knife,
    Then it's even better!
Throw them out, the whole Jewish gang,
Throw them out of our Fatherland,
    Sends them back to Jerusalem
And be sure to cut their throats
    Or they'll be back again!

  15. Did not appreciate that video of young Yankee yodellers, Professor - not at all.

Here I was, just settling with a good glass of red the excellent Chicken Tandoori pizza that I had bought the boys for tea and - up came a bunch of precocious seppo no-hopers "blaming me" for a livid litany of 'leged crimes that will never amount to more than dubious suburban myth in a really crappy B Grade movie.

And now that commendable repast, Professor, well soused in fine quaffing shiraz, is all over my table cloth, trouser legs and boots, having been ejected by virtue of said precocious muppets at a violent speed most likely approximating the muzzle velocity of your average APDS round fired by an angry M1A1 Abrams.

You owe me, Professor - you owe me!

    And I will collect!

    1. The M1A1 has a 120mm L44 Smoothbore main gun, which precludes firing the Armour-Piercing Discarding Sabot round. That round requires spin-stabilisation from a rifled barrel, such as the 105mm L7 on the Leopard AS1 (or the original M1 Abrams). The M1A1, with its 120mm L44 fires the Armour-Piercing Fin-Stabilised Discarding Sabot round, thus APFSDS.

    2. A techno-guru from the black beret fraternity (SORRY! slouch-hat-and-feathers fraternity!).

You spent a lot of time there, bucko, to make a fairly minute point on an obscure issue. However, a check with my Ironsides advisors confirms the technical correctness of your APFSDS notation, so I'll defer to you on the issue - but they also told me to tell you that you're a nit-picker of tedious inclination who really should abandon the tech pams every now and then in order to actually go out and meet someone of the opposite sex.

Having tugged my forelock in obsequious acquiescence, I'll finish this post with a rollicking joke:

Q: How many pedants does it take to change a light bulb?

      Ans: Bayonet or screw?

  16. ... and on an historical note, it should be remembered that the Germans did slightly better than come second in WW2.

In certain lesser areas, they actualy pulled off the main prize! Yes, folks - the Germans came first in the specific sub-categories of "Uniforms" and "Band Marching Music".

Which is more than any of the young, youthful Yankee yodellers will ever be able to claim.

  17. I'm fascinated by the change in tone from 2008 to 2012 - the 2008 song, sentimental, saccharine stuff; the melody and lyrics could mostly have come from Michael Jackson's 'Heal the World' -

    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
For you and for me and for
    The entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care about the living
Make it a better place for you and for me.

The second is bizarrely bitter and recriminatory. It has the sort of sardonic lyrics that could have come from any number of spoof songs on the internet.

That's a big change in tone; I wonder if the first (2008) ad was made with the second (2012) one in mind? It seems unlikely... but how did they get to the latter video from the earlier one?

More broadly, it's clear that lefties love recruiting the young... taking kids to protests, or educating kids in the ways of politically-correctness, or (as here) making them sing politically appropriate songs. But it's hard for me to think of another example in which kids have to sing bitter, recriminatory lines like this for a political ad. (Occasionally I suppose you see something similar to this in satire, but that hardly has the specific 'recruiting' purposes you see in this ad). It's like lefty self-hatred at one remove. Like I said, bizarre that kids have been roped into this campaign.

  18. Sorry, but just had to get it off my chest.
This farcical, over-the-top example of the collective madness of part of the American public (as well as the unreal perceptions by world opinion - going by supposed polls) is timely.

If only Romney can win, Obama and the corrupt political machine from which this incompetent lightweight sprang should for decades be the example of how the USA nearly lost everything. Not only ‘what were they thinking?’, but why has this collective death-wish continued, even to the last minute? This video is nothing!

If any single word sums up this frightening idea of Obama being president of the USA it is “Benghazi”. In the deaths of the ambassador and the other Americans, Obama-as-President has the perfect example to decisively define the narrative of his reign. As we see now, this incompetent, totally political man seems to have no conception of what is the ‘public good’, ‘honour’ or anything but ‘the political end justifies the political means’. When Michael Barone talked about ‘Gangster Government’ he was spot-on (and not only due to the rotten and corrupt Chicago political machine from which he came). If only the US mainstream media has a sliver of principle left, Obama will be crushed as he deserves to be due to his neglect on Benghazi.
No matter what anyone thinks of the character of politicians in Australia, could even we think that in a similar case involving our troops in, say, Timor after the intervention, that our politicians would not do everything to save them if it was possible? If they were asking for assistance, if others were demanding to give such assistance? Imagine if they had a clean feed to the action as it evolved over seven hours. Consider that you knew that they were actually meeting together (as Obama, Biden and the Secretary of defence were at 5pm DC time) one hour after it all started and five hours before the last agents were killed! I say it wouldn’t happen in an Australian/Timor case no matter who was PM.

    But it happened with Obama.

NYT, LA Times and the rest? Nothing except abortion in a Senate race.
Even as an Australian, watching Pat Cadell today vent his outrage I was immediately standing in his shoes and feeling his thoughts. Nothing is beyond the pale for this corrupt Obama administration or its enablers in the media. Is it any wonder that Rupert Murdoch and his media enterprises are loathed by “progressives” everywhere? Without FNC, WSJ, Breitbart and new media generally, this would have been stopped by the gatekeepers as if Pravda and the old Peking Peoples Daily were in operation there.

If this story does finally get to the American people they should thank their lucky stars that at five minutes to midnight they were saved from having a totally unfit Commander in Chief as well as for possibly missing out on financial disaster.

This truly stinks. Obama knew of the attack within two minutes of its commencement, but he refused to offer assistance. The CIA compound in Benghazi offered to send assistance, but they were ordered to stand down. There were two unmanned drones sending live video to the White House operations centre, Obama knew what was going on, but he refused to assist.

US military knew what was happening in real time, assistance could have been sent, but Obama refused.

Senior military figures (Navy and Army) who argued with White House directives have been stood down and relieved of command, there is something really rotten with this sordid affair.

I had read that Obama had agreed with a Muslim Brotherhood plan to capture US Ambassador Stevens alive to use him as a bargaining chip so that Obama could save face when releasing the Blind Sheik. The Muslim Brotherhood has penetrated the US administration to its highest levels, and Obama is a closet Moslem.

Stevens was taken alive but unfortunately he died from his wounds. I don't think that the public sodomising of the unfortunate man would have assisted.

  20. A couple of those kids in the first video have the sort of 'healthy' look about them that makes you wonder if they are about to knock off your DVD player to support their habit.

But typical guilt trip rubbish. "Oh, look at these 'old people' messing it all up for us 'new generation'". What do these people actually believe? That the moment the 'new generation' comes of age their parents just praise thanks to Gaia and throw themselves into the nearest compost bin?

Has it ever occurred to these selfish little sprogs that the generations overlap and far from wishing to bend over to hand everything over to the youth of our future Logan's Run style, these 'old people' might just being using their many years of experience to ensure the next 40 years of their lives is not full of tasteless organic food shortages and rolling wind driven power cuts.

Tomorrow belongs to you? Come back when you have spent at least 20 years paying taxes you self centered little swampie. :P
