I Dream Of Gina

ANY DAY that begins with an Indian gentleman sticking a camera up your bottom is probably not going to be one of the best. Then the computer came to life, news poured into the Billabong and things took a turn for the better, as opposed to the many turns the camera took to get somewhere just short of a poor Bunyip's adam's apple.

There must be some very nervous stomachs at the Silly and Phage right about now.

Not to worry. The Professor can recommend a good proctologist.

UPDATE:  An invaluable resource for nervous Fairfax types. Better hurry though. Job security will only last until Abbott & Co. take charge.

UPDATE II: A little more here. Not a lot, just a little.

  2. I broke the news to poor old Bob Ellis who had been ranting for a few weeks that he will work for half pay at the SMH if they give him a job. His response on his blog:

"Yes, it’s a pity. When the smh had a lot of left-wing writers it made money. Now it has fewer left wing writers it loses money."

There you go Bunyip. More Left wing writers needed at Fairfax to restore profitability!

    Go Gina!

    1. Fewer left wing writers, and lesser left wing writers. It's not just the ideology. They are so tedious with it...

  3. I heard this on the drive home from work tonight and I immediately thought of the professor [Bunyip]. I knew that'd cheer you up.

  4. Reminds me of the old cliche of the billionaire buying the institution that irked him/her and then sacking the offending persons.

    1. ...and I'm not saying that the cliche wouldn't be on Ginas' mind as she did it either.
The Quantas Unions don't have a monopoly on 'doing someone slowly'
Payback can be so much of a bitch, n'est pas?

  5. It's remarkable how a sense of entitlement and "all's right with the world" permeates reports by the Love Media of eventualities like a rich person funding the new online magazine "Global Media". But let Gina buy shares in Fairfax, and the claws will be out, just as they were when she and family members were litigating recently. Then, it was headlined as her "secret life", rather than "none of your business, private!"

  10. A beautiful end to a beautiful day. Gina has got to have been preparing for this for months and Fairfax is a bargain. Hopefully when she gets to 14% and a board seat she goes to work on the break up of the company starting with the Radio Stations hopefully to Ron Walker and associates. Bring in Michael Kroger and or Janet Albrechtson to the board as well and bring this pile of sludge back into the mainstream of Sydney and Melboune and not just for the targeted inner city left audience.
The shares will look cheap by years end.
Finally get rid of Peter Fray at the silly as number one priority he can take over from Jonathon Holmes or Jonathon Green .
There will be some very nervous journos and Labor media staffers when she gets to 14%.

  11. Wonderful news. As soon as Lord Monckton's regular columns commence, I'll buy a copy.

  12. The sillies at the Silly and Phage do not need a proctologist, as their heads are already so far up their arses they can see the back of their own teeth.

As to them migrating to the ABC, sometimes I think they're under the delusion that they're already there - they're just waiting for the relationship to be formalised.

I hope there was nothing terrible for your proctologist to find.

  13. I heard a rumor that Gina has approached Andrew Bolt to be the editor of the Age?

  14. I think it was Robert Louis Stevenson who said "Sooner or later we all sit down to a banquet of consequences".

The Rudd/Gillard cheer squad, led by Grattan, Tingle, Taylor, Maiden, Maley, Crabb, Hartcher, Carlton and so on will find their ABC and SBS doesn't have room for them all without putting some of their stable such as Ewart, Faine etc out to pasture.

Already I have notice some of them deserting the sinking ship.

  15. The camera?

Box Brownie or 35mm SLR with telephoto?

As far as I know the Professor hasn't spent any time at Her Majesties pleasure.

  16. So, the Age lefties go from proctoloty victims to prolatariat once Gina gets her hands on the 14%! But then that should suit them as they have been Cherry pickers with the truth for a long time. As for banging on the door of the ABC for a job, they better watch their lower backs too come the next election!

  17. Funny about that Anon. This morning, I was thinking who might make a good Editor for the Age and Bolt's image appeared! I'm sure if Gina gathers her 14.8% stake and secures a seat on the board, the current Editor may be out in the cold.

The Luvvies are foaming, from ABC local radio's Jon Faine to David Salter (ex Media Watch grand poo-bah) Of course, this awful prospect is very, very bad, indeed. Heck, Murdoch dominates 70% of Australia's media, the Green Left Daily can't be lost. What would happen to group-think? Not once, was the mere fact considered that The Age is simply irrelevant because, in part, of incompetent journalism and editorship. Nothing like that could have had anything to do with its demise.

The paper needs cleaning up and if that responsibility falls to an evil mining magnate, then so be it.
